The Rat Republic Minecraft Showcase

Showing off Minecraft worlds is difficult.
Images are often difficult to fully show off a world, and people don’t often have a forum to share this. As such, creating an event that allows people to share their world allows for a way to share their builds, worlds, and several other aspects that are more difficult to show off.

The Event

The showcase (Also referred to as event) is, as the name implies, not a competition. No awards will be given out, nor any incentive other than participation itself. Registrants (also referred to as guests) are encouraged to show their creations under the understanding that no prices will be given. The event would be divided in 3 phases to garner interest and allow guests to have time to finish their builds or prepare the world file on a viable state.

Categories

For the intents of information, transparency, and having a good flow during the live event, showcases need to be organized according to the gamemode and type of creation they are showcasing. The showcase is divided in 4 categories:

- Survival: World was exclusively played in survival, the use of creative mode or cheat commands is minimal or inexistent. Texture packs and performance-optimizing mods (Such as Lithium, Phosphor, Optifine, shaders) are allowed.
- Modded: Worlds played in survival with mods, add-ons, or datapacks.
- Creative: Worlds made with creative mode, commands, or other mass block modification tools (World Edit, External world edition, etc.)
- Pixel Art (Image only): The submission is a single build with pixel art - either as an in-game map item, or a vertical or horizontal short-scale view, or other non-interactive builds.
